EVENT Postponed: Pack Campfire

Update January 18:  The county has re-imposed a burning ban, so we will not be able to have a bonfire at this time.  Leaders have decided to postpone the event until some future date, when a bonfire would be allowed.

Update: December 15:  Because of the lack of rainfall, there is currently an outdoor fire ban in Hillsborough County. If this is still in effect on January 24, we will only be able to have a small, controlled fire.

We are planning a Pack outing around a campfire and Hot Dog roast beginning about 4:00PM on Saturday January 24 at the Carter residence, 8605 W Knights Griffin Road, Plant City.  Enter the property directly across from WhoDat Road, at 8601 W Knights Griffin Road (red mailbox).  All dens (and parents/siblings/friends) are encouraged to add to the entertainment. The Pack will provide BBQ items, hot dogs, buns, and condiments, and drinks. Each family is asked to bring something to share (food and skit/joke/song).   Bring a chair, drinking cup/mug and clothing as appropriate for the weather.  There is a fishing pond available if you would like to fish. (You can come earlier for this if you like.)
Scouts should wear their pack t-shirt or something suitable for running around outside; not their uniform.

We plan to have games and activities beginning about 4PM, and will begin our dinner about 5:30.  We encourage families to have a joke/story/skit/song to share at the campfire.  We will have a small fire for roasting hotdogs and marshmallows, and later a BIG bonfire for songs, skits, and stories.  We will also retire worn U.S. flags in an appropriate manner.
