Cub Adventure Camp – Feb 1-3, 2019 at Camp Soule

Update Jan 22: The pack is registered for the event, and I was able to order event T-shirts for those who requested them. If you no longer want to go, or if you want to go but did not sign up, please let me know as soon as you can.

There is a Cub Adventure Camp the February 2, 2019 weekend, held at Camp Soule in Clearwater. Although it is across the bay, it is an easy drive. The camp is small, has a lot of oak and pine trees, and nice restrooms. Theme for the event is “Invasion of the Vikings”. Cost is $25 per person (over 5 years old) or a maximum of $110 per family, with meals (Saturday and Sunday morning) in their dining hall included in the cost. All Scouts and family members are welcome. At least one adult guardian must accompany the Scout. An event T-shirt (with image similar to the flyer) costs additional $10, and must be pre-ordered by January 18 (but this may be extended). You will be able to come for the day, or camp Friday and/or Saturday nights; there is no difference in cost. We will pre-register as a group by January 23, so look at your calendar and make a decision, and let us know if you can attend. If you need any camping supplies, please let a leader know. NOTE: if camping, you may have to transport your gear 75 to 150 yards to the campsite; you may not be able to drive in to unload, so pack lightly, and bring a cart/wagon if you can. (There are some wagons at camp, but they will be in demand.)
Other information is in the leader guide.
Each adult and child should have a BSA medical form (sections A & B) completed.
As with all Scout camps: Closed-Toe shoes are required; no pets, alcohol or weapons; smoking is only allowed in a few designated places; leave electronics at home or in your car. If there is a question, consult the Guide to Safe Scouting.
