Update Oct 26: Due to lack of signups, we are cancelling the popcorn sales for Saturday and Sunday. We will still be at the Plant City Last Friday event. Scouts can still do online sales using the phone app.
Original post: As a pack fund-raiser, the pack will be holding Trails-End Popcorn sales at several storefronts in the Plant City area over the October 27-29 weekend. For each about 2 hour shift, we would like to have 2 or 3 scouts with several adults participating. Information about the program is available on the Trails-End web site. Each scout should make their own account on the Trails-End.com web site, where they can sign up for shifts, and be assigned a unique code for online sales. (We are in Greater Tampa Bay Area Council, and Timucua District.) The Trails End phone app (or computer site) is a very complete and user friendly site where you can learn selling procedures, sell product, record sales, and accept credit cards
Scouts can make online sales at any time.
For our storefront sales, we are planning to be at the Plant City Last Friday event on October 27, from 5 to 9 PM.
On Saturday October 28, we will be at the Publix store at Kathleen Square, located at 3835 Duff Rd, Lakeland, FL 33810, from 9AM to 7 PM. Sign up for 2.5 hour shifts. (This is about 11 miles N of I-4 on Kathleen Road.)
On Sunday October 29, we will be at the Plant City Winn Dixie from 9AM to 2PM. Sign up for 2.5 hour shifts.
The pack will allocate profits from these sales to the participating scouts, to be used for scouting items of the scout’s choosing.
In addition to the Storefront sales, scouts can sell popcorn online, where the customer orders and pays over the Trails-End web site, and the product is shipped direct to the customer. The Scout will get at least 30% of the sales to use to pay for scouting expenses.
