Due to possible hurricane damage to the grounds and buildings, this event has been cancelled.
This is not a scouting event, but it is a great way to see a museum for free.
Smithsonian Magazine sponsors “Museum Day” each year, with hundreds of museums around the country (66 in Florida) offering free admission. Many of these took place on September 17, but Cracker Country, at the Florida State Fairgrounds, will be open on September 28. There is no admission charge to the event, but there is a $10 charge per vehicle entry into the fairgrounds, so carpool! There is a cost of $2 to make a candle, make a rope, or Indigo Dye some fabric.
