Lakeland Flying Tigers Baseball Game May 4
The minor league Lakeland Flying Tigers baseball team will have a special promotion for Scouts on Saturday May 4 at the Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland. The gates open with a lot of fun activities at 5PM, and the baseball game starts at 6:00PM against the Clearwater Threshers. Admission fee of $10
Pack Meeting – Monday May 20
Note Date change! Pack 734 will hold its Pack meeting on May 20, at Hope Community (previously Cork Methodist Church). The program begins at 6:30. The Pack will provide pizza and hot dogs, and each family is encouraged to bring a side dish – salad, vegetable or ?? – to share. There is no cost
Tampa Bay Rays Scout Day – Sunday June 9
The Tampa Bay Rays baseball team is having a special Scout promotion at the game against the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday June 9, with the game beginning at 1:40PM. Scouts will present the flag before the game, and there will be other displays and promotions. Cost is $25 per person, which includes a reserved seat
Update on BSA Registration fees Effective April 1, 2024
BSA has recently updated the membership fees and procedures, effective April 1, 2024. Basically, fees for youth have increased slightly to $85 per year, and will no longer be pro-rated until the calendar year end, but instead will be for one year. Cub Scout Day Camp – July 10-13
Note that our council has 5 different Day Camp (weekdays) or Twilight Camps (evenings and Saturday) open for Cub Scouts. Scouts can attend any one, or more, of the events. The Pack will be starting the annual Recharter process, where we update our official records, and collect the annual registration fees and the Scout Life magazine subscription fees to pay to BSA National.
