BSA has substantially revised the Cub Scout Program effective September 1, 2024. There are new program books for the new program.
Major changes include the separation of the 4th grade Webelos rank from the 5th grade AOL rank. Webelos will continue to wear the blue uniform shirt. The Bobcat rank, which was earned only once when a member first joined, is now a required adventure for each rank, with the program tailored for the grade level. The new printed book will cost $23.99 for Wolf through AOL rank, and $12.99 for Lion and Tiger. There are also a digital books available to download from www.scoutshop.org , at a cost of $16.99.
